This is a conceptual rendering of the joining impressions of a shutdown factory near the shadow of an iron furnace within a field of snow. The factory was forced to stop operation as a result of the 1985 flood, it subsequently never reopened. Virginia Furnace produced iron until the 1890s.
It is a screen print on Arches 88 cotton paper.
